Obstacle Course Race Injuries: Are you a Warrior Dasher, Spartan Racer, or Tough Mudder, or just a fan of these popular, worldwide racing events? Learn how to treat common injuries that have and can occur at these popular obstacle course races. This two-hour course covers statewide treatment protocols for such injuries as shoulder injuries, open and closed fractures, sprains, strains, and lacerations, and learn how to spot the signs of more serious conditions, such as sudden cardiac arrest, environmental hypothermia, and environmental hyperthermia. Great for lay rescuers, and EMS professionals can earn 2 OEMS credits. Total cost $50 ($25/OEMS credits). Drowning and other water sports-related injuries. For EMTs and lay rescuers, the course will review treatments for common injuries sustained from swimming, diving, water skiing, tubing and wakeboarding. State protocols for injuries will be covered. Upon completion, the student will be able to recognize and treat for sprains, strains, fractures, head, neck and spine injuries, soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, shoulder injuries, as well as perform CPR for drowning victims. EMS professionals can earn 2 OEMS credits. ($25/credit).
First Responder Rehab: For firefighters and EMTs. Rehabilitation of First Responders: Interventions designed to help decrease the physical, physiological and emotional stress of first responders and reduce the likelihood of injuries and death. NFPA Standard 1584. Course is worth 2 OEMS credits. Total cost $50 ($25/OEMS credits).

BLS Healthcare Provider: The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The course is intended for certified or noncertified, licensed or non-licensed healthcare professionals. Certification at this level requires the completion of a written test. *up to 3 credits available |
Heartsaver CPR: This Course is designed to teach CPR and relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO), commonly called Choke Response or the Heimlich Maneuver, to all lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace. Participants include restaurant staff, daycare providers, security guards, police, and other lay responders. Although the course may be used to teach CPR to all lay rescuers, it is specifically designed for lay rescuers who are required to obtain a course completion card -a credential- documenting completion of a CPR course. |
Heartsaver First Aid: The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes General Principles, Medical Emergencies, and Injury Emergencies, and an optional Environmental Emergencies section.

Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED The Heartsaver First Aid with CPR and AED Training Course teaches rescuers to effectively recognize and treat emergencies in the critical first minutes until emergency medical services personnel arrive. The course provides a complete health and safety solution for First Aid, CPR and AED. The student will learn how to recognize the signs of a sudden cardiac arrest, when to activate the EMS system, and how to do CPR. It’s also important to become familiar with the AED and learn how to successfully operate it in an emergency. This training also teaches how to avoid potentially hazardous situations.There is a hands-on skill demonstration required to complete the course, but there is no written test.
The First Aid component of the course prepares the participants to deal with injuries seen more frequently. This part of the course teaches the lay person to recognize and react to situations such as low blood sugar, bleeding, broken bones and sprains, seizures, strokes, insect bites and stings, and temperature related injuries.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens: The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for people who have a reasonable chance of coming into contact with blood or blood-containing materials as part of their job responsibilities. This course will prepare you to be safe around bloodborne pathogens hazards and deals with how to protect yourself, how to react when bloodborne-pathogens exposure occurs, and how to report exposures. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements when used with site-specific training, required annually by OSHA. |
